The Language of Love

In all things, we must embrace the language of love in our communication so we reflect genuine love and kindness. The love of God should shine through our words whenever we meet people. We never know when God will place someone in our path.

Recently, as I was walking into a store, I saw a stranger and smiled at her. She stopped me and asked if we could talk. She had come to the store because her daughter was sick. When her daughter came out, she asked me to pray for her. Because of that simple encounter, this woman has since begun attending church. It started with a smile, and now we are friends. Talk about timing—this was truly a God moment. Was this in my plan for the day? No, but God interrupted!

Proverbs 16:24 (KJV) declares, “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” Let’s look for opportunities to share love and kindness with those around us.

Jesus said, “This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you” (John 15:12, KJV). Ask the Lord to show you ways to express His love to others.
